Early Prototype Studies

PONDS = a new plant cultivation approach that fits under the Veggie light bank (or elsewhere) with an area for a contained plant growth substrate & a reservoir for water inputs.

KSC PONDS Prototypes and Ground Validation Studies.

‌Several PONDS Prototypes were fabricated at Kennedy Space Center to:

  • Demonstrate Growth of a Variety of Plant Species (under 1g conditions).

  • Justify partnering with Redwire & Tupperware Corps. for the development of spaceflight rated versions of PONDS.
